McConnell Homes Wins ARC Award for Infill Development

(ATLANTA - November 18, 2005) The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and the Regional Business Coalition (RBC) recognized the metro Atlanta's most innovative development projects today, announcing the recipients of the 2005 Developments of Excellence Awards. The awards showcase new developments that are improving the quality of life throughout the metro area, and recognize developers who are pursuing good growth practices in the region.

The presentation of the awards took place today at ARC's annual State of the Region Breakfast, where nearly 1,000 of the region's leaders were challenged to "Engage! For Regional Success."

Winners of the 2005 Developments of Excellence Awards are:

Exceptional Merit Award for Context-Sensitive Neighborhood Infill Design

Green Street Properties, LLC, for Glenwood Park 2005
Developments of Excellence Award

Kairos Development Corporation, for The Aramore
Exceptional Merit Award for Mixed-Use Development

In awarding the annual Developments of Excellence, ARC and RBC showcase both large-scale and smaller, innovative developments that are setting the standard for designing more livable communities.
